La moderna Chiesa di Santa Margherita è stata costruita utilizzando un progetto del 1938, rielaborato nel 1958. Nel 1959 la Chiesa era ancora in costruzione e per mancanza di mezzi non era stata portata a termine. La nuova chiesa fu consacrata solo nel 1970. In questa chiesa si trova un quadro di scuola senese di metà 500 raffigurante la Madonna con in braccio il bambino tenente in mano un giglio bianco, a destra san Giovannino e a sinistra Santa Caterina da Siena. Di recente, grazie al contributo della Fondazione Bertarelli, è stato restaurato ed esposto un pregevole crocifisso ligneo nell’abside.
The modern church of Santa Margherita was built using a 1938 project, reworked in 1958. In 1959 the church was still under construction and due to lack of resources it had not been completed. The new church was consacrated only in 1970. In this church there is a painting of a Sienese school from the mid-16th century depicting the Madonna holding a white lily in her hand, on the right St. John and on the left Santa Caterina da Siena. Recently, thanks to the contribution of the Bertarelli Foundation, a valuable wooden crucifix in the apse has been restored and exhibited.
